PBS Biobased Coated Paper Offers Home-Compostable Barrier Solution
An innovative PBS (polybutylene succinate) biobased coated paper has been developed to replace traditional plastic-coated or fluorochemical-treated papers.
An innovative PBS (polybutylene succinate) biobased coated paper has been developed to replace traditional plastic-coated or fluorochemical-treated papers. The coating, derived from renewable feedstocks, provides strong resistance against water, oil, and grease, making it ideal for foodservice disposables like wraps, bags, and trays. Unlike conventional poly-coated paper, the PBS coating is certified for home composting and industrial biodegradation, and the coated substrate shows no delamination during converting or heat-sealing processes.
